Cloud computing

Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over an internet connection. You use your computer to connect to the internet and you can access your files and applications via the internet.

The cloud comes in different forms, namely private, public and hybrid. The Sourcing Company is one of the few that has linked a bonus form to this. That's called the Azure Stack. The picture on the left describes how the different cloud forms work, also with Azure Stack.

Private cloud

A private cloud consists of a number of servers that are used by one company. This can be done by having a server room in the company, but it can also be purchased from a partner, such as The Sourcing Company.

Hybrid cloud

Combining functionalities of the private and the public cloud is called the hybrid cloud. Here you benefit from 'the best of both worlds'. The Sourcing Company uses the services of Microsoft: Microsoft Azure for the public cloud.

Public cloud

In our opinion, the public cloud is 'the way to go'. With Microsoft Azure, much more is possible than with any private one. It is cheaper and more available.
